The state deputies of Mato Grosso approved, this Monday (19), in a second discussion, the division of resources from the State Fund for Transport and Housing (Fethab), which should raise more than R$ 2 billion in 2023.
Starting next year, 80% of the funds should be invested in infrastructure works in transport and housing managed by the State Secretariat for Infrastructure and Logistics (Sinfra).
In addition, 10% for carrying out projects and investments with the participation of MT Par – which will manage the BR-163, between the MS border and Sinop, as defined in agreement with the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) – and 10% for use in social assistance by the National Treasury.
The approved text was a proposed substitute for the one presented by the state.
The new division is valid for four years. However, an amendment proposed by Deputy Ulysses Moraes (PTB) provided for a new deadline of two years. The initiative received 11 votes in favor and 11 against and the president of ALMT, Eduardo Botelho, maintained the period.
